Our do-it-yourself bicycle repair shop and community programs run on 100% volunteer power and your generous donations. Meet SOPO Since 2004, SOPO Co-op has been a pillar of the volunteering community in Atlanta. We do not offer paid repair services, but we provide the shop space, tools, parts and guidance to empower you to repair your own bicycle. SOPO also sells used bicycles, parts, locks, helmets, tires, tubes, tools and accessories. Our community outreach programs use your donations (money, time & usable bicycles) to provide low-cost bicycles to persons who rely on them as their only mode of transportation. We also sell used bicycles at affordable donation amounts. Earn-A-Bicycle SOPO provides low-cost bicycles and services to participants who volunteer in our community programs. Public bicycle racks SOPO installers are experts in planning and activating public parking racks at the lowest prices. Persons in need We provide bicycles, services, locks, and helmets to families and under-supported communities. Donation drop off details DIY Bicycle Shop Fix your own bicycle We offer professional bicycle tools, repair stations and volunteers to assist you in repairing your own bicycle. We do not provide repair services but we give you the knowledge for you to be able to maintain your own bicycle. We only ask a $10 donation per hour of shop time. Reuse a donated part Need a part to keep your bicycle running? Look through our parts bins on our wall of donations to find what you need. Some parts may no longer be functional but they still may have that one piece you need to fix your bicycle. True recycle and reuse for $8 donation per part. Find new parts SOPO also sells new parts like tires, tubes, locks, helmets, water bottles, racks, safety lights, cables...all at lower prices than your regular corporate bicycle shop or even online. If you need a special part, let us know and we can contact our suppliers to find it. Used bicycle sales Every week a team of volunteers cleans, fixes and tunes donated bicycles to be sold at the shop. Our inventory is constantly changing so stop by and check out our sales rack, you may find your dream bicycle there waiting for you. Each donation helps our community programs. Donate bicycles and parts Do you have a usable or fixable adult bicycle that you no longer use or need? Visit SOPO during shop hours and donate your bicycles, parts and accessories. We will fix it or part it out for other patrons to reuse. If needed, we can provide you with a donation receipt. Volunteer at shop SOPO runs 100% on volunteer power. No bicycle experience needed, just a great attitude to help your community and a willingness to learn. You will go through a volunteer class and then you are able to donate any amount of time that you have available. Click here to sign up . Near the West End MARTA Station with access via Murphy Avenue. Also, we are one mile from the Atlanta Beltline Westside Trail. When you arrive, the SOPO shop is on the north end of the complex. Donation Drop-off: We accept all bicycles and parts that are still usable.
